Happy Birthday, DH!

Aaron is pretty easy and low maintenance when it comes to these special occasions.  I took him to one of his motherships, Lowe's, to do some shopping.  I told him to pick out something he liked.  We looked at grills, lawn mowers, shelving for the garage, refrigerators, and other fun manly stuff.  We ended up in the flooring department, of all places.  He didn't buy anything, which is a little shocking, but he couldn't find anything he wanted at the time.  He said he would rather wait to look at some of those things in the spring.  So, we left.  I then took him out to lunch and then back home to see the boys.  I must say, it was a very relaxed, stress-free day for everyone.  The best part was getting to spend alone time together.  Taking the kids is great, but sometimes you just need to push the reset button every now and then.  I just can't believe my hubby is now 45!  Time flies when you're having fun, right?

I Like To Move It, Move It

Don't you wish you could bottle up your kid's energy and keep some for yourself and sell the rest?  Between my two, we would be super rich...and, of course, well energized.  Liam kept running and running, then jumping and jumping some more.  Watching him I felt a sense of envy, but it wore me out at the same time.  Not to mention that I had to keep the camera on him and spinning around while he was running.  It was fun, for sure!  I love to see him happy, even if it makes me dizzy sometimes.

Some dance moves.

Battleship

Landon has been coming out of that teenager shell a lot lately and playing board games as a family.  Battleship was the game of choice this time.  He hugged me tightly and asked if I would play with him.  How could I refuse such sweetness?!  I won every game we played, but he had so much fun trying to find and sink my ships.

The Duel

Liam was busy doing something else at the time when his big brother came outside with his two Minecraft swords.  Liam suddenly lit up and asked his brother if they could play together.  Play fighting is so much better than the real thing, but it still scares me that someone will get hurt.  During their play fighting, I watched closely, but then soon realized that they weren't even touching each other.  I felt a little better about everything.  They were adorable together.  Liam was cracking up, and Landon thought his little brother was doing such a great job at pretending.  This lasted a little while until Liam switched gears and started playing with leaves.  It was a lot of fun!

Oh, and Liam lost another tooth the same day!
