Jack-O-Lanterns Galore!

The fam and I went to this local event they have for about a month during the month of October.  Apparently this event originated in Rhode Island by a small family and then they decided to expand to the Louisville area.  I'm so glad they did!  There are hundreds and hundreds of hand-painted, drawn, and carved pumpkins.  Rumor has it that there are 1,001 jack-o-lanterns.  It's absolutely amazing to see.   Walking through the woods made it that much better for me.  As we were walking we heard music that went with the themes.  Old West was old time western music, 20's, 30's, 40's, etc. was that era in music, the Titanic was an instrumental of the theme song in the movie, and so on.  Pretty neat.  Oh, and I forgot to mention that it was mid 70's!!  Yes, you read that correctly.  It was warm with a slight breeze.  H-E-A-V-E-N!  I took so many pictures and didn't even realize it.  Landon was so excited and in awe of their creativity that he put quite a few on my phone.  It really was an incredible sight and I am so happy we made a visit before they pack up and leave.  The best part, besides the weather and the view?  Liam was stimulated enough by all the lights and music that we didn't have too much of a problem with him.  He has to have a lot of the right kind of stimulation to keep him occupied and fairly calm.  That made our trip so much more enjoyable.  Yippie skippie!!

I won't post all of them, but here are some of my favorites.

In the Christmas theme, they had snow falling from above.  How cool is that?!

There was a mirror behind the pumpkin that reflected the back, which was when Michael Jackson turned into a zombie in Thriller.

The "In Memory" theme.

Robin Williams.  :(

Paul Walker.  :(

Kentucky Derby.  :)

Oh, the talent of these people.  Wow!!  We had a blast!
