The Griswold's Family Vacation (post 2 of 8): Swan Lake

On our ride in, our plan was to head here before stopping in at my sister's house.  But, Mother Nature had other plans for us that day and decided to skip it until the next day when it was a little warmer.  The thing I do love about South Carolina is the weather, probably because the sun is stronger there.  If it's 60 degrees in Indiana and 60 degrees in South Carolina, South Carolina usually wins on warmth by a landslide.

This place is beautiful.  It's one of those places that doesn't have to have a lot of greenery or pretty flowers blooming to appreciate it.  I loved how eery it looked at times, too.  There was so much to look at along the path.  They had a Chocolate Garden, a Brail Garden (which I thought was really cool), all kinds of wildlife, designated fenced in nesting grounds for the geese and swans at the waters edge, and educational areas for kids to learn about the different kinds of trees to name a few.  The boys really enjoyed themselves, which was a little surprising.  Liam even made a new friend that day.  Can you spot him?

Note:  Some of these pictures were taken by my sister.
