Park Time Joy

I've been meaning to get the kids to a park, but with my overloaded schedule and activities going on, I wasn't sure my kids would ever see the light of day again.  Well, I figured life is too short to sit around the house and complain about being busy.  I found some time to load the kiddos in the car for our little trip down the road to a small local park.  I couldn't handle the sad, bored look on their faces any longer.  It's small enough for Liam to enjoy, which is a plus in my book.  Landon got the bright idea of rolling down the big hill.  I remember doing that as a kid and loved it.  But, with a little bit of fun comes a little bit of not-so-fun.  Landon came to me and told me that his legs were itching.  A light bulb went off and remembered feeling that sensation myself as a kid.  *ding* Oh yeah, grass.  Even though he didn't like the way the grass was making his skin feel, he continued on like it was no big deal.

Landon's "special" rocks.  At least that's what he called them because they were stuck together.

Liam was helping his brother get a good start down the hill.

Bird watching.

On a side note:  I brought this chair home from SC from my sister's house.  I'd say the boys are getting some use out of it!  Liam will pull the chair into every room.  For instance, if he's waiting on food to be cooked, he will pull it into the kitchen area, sit, and wait for the food to be served.  I have even caught him eating in the chair.  I think he likes it, but I could be way off base here.
