The First Home Improvement

Aaron and I don't really do too much to our home.  We should, and we will, but we're creeping along on projects that need to be done.  "When it rains, it pours" is the theme of our life, or at least it has been.  Just when we think we have a cushion in savings, we have a child who needs special services/attention and a multitude of medical bills to pay, as well as other things that come up.  That's just life, right?  If this happens to you, just know that you're not alone.  We have the worst run of luck, but it will get better.  We'll get there...slowly.  We're in no hurry.

We still have two more rooms to redo - our master and Liam's room (which will be our office again).  Thankfully, we made the decision not to do those right away because we needed the extra rooms to store our furniture.  Thank the good Lord for blessing us with big rooms!  We had the choice between carpet and laminate flooring.  We weighed the pros and cons of each and carpet won the battle.  I swear, walking on this carpet feels like a teddy bear's butt.  So comfy, warm, and homey.  The best decision we made.  Now we can't wait to do the other two rooms (and, of course, some other projects later)!

And, we're back.
